This is a reminder that the City & County of Denver’s Denver Energy Challenge and CSU Extension are offering a fall ‘Bottom Line’ Energy workshop in Denver on November 12th from 6p-8p.

The workshop is free will cover energy efficiency and solar basics as well as our new energy bill analysis and financial calculators to help you make informed decisions.

The attached flyer and website below provide information on the workshop.  The workshop is free but RSVP is required. Please pass this along via your neighborhood social media outlets/newsletters/eblasts and we hope to see you there!

                               -    NOVEMBER IS HERE and soon THANKSGIVING  -
                 
              1)  Dumpsters - They were a huge success! We are sorry some of you
                           weren't able to take advantage of this BUT the event will be
                           repeated in the spring.
 
               2) If you are interested in helping to watch for homes placed on the 
                    market in Wellshire East & follow through to the final stage of
                    welcoming the new owners, you could become a Street 
                    Lookout/Welcome!  This is a small job but very important.

               3) The fundraiser "Fit for Fire 5K":
                    Wellshire East HOA has donated $100. to this fundraiser
                   in appreciation of Fire Station 22's participation in our
                   4th of July Parade & Picnic over the years.

Talk with Denver Firefighters, try on their gear, and get some exercise in Wash Park! Friends of the Denver Fire Department, the Denver Fire Fighters Burn Foundation and the Denver Fire Department Wellness Program present the 4th annual Fit for Fire 5K walk/run/kids’ fun run on Sunday, November 3 at Wash Park, 1700 Louisiana Ave. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. and the race begins at 9:00 a.m. Sign up at www.FitForFire5k.com. The Friends of the Denver Fire Department foundation supports Denver's Fire Department with direct resources and improves public safety by increasing public awareness of the Fire Department mission and services. The Denver Fire Fighters Burn Foundation is a firefighter-based non-profit organization that provides immediate assistance to citizens suffering after a fire and supports burn prevention and treatment and survivor support and recovery. The Denver Fire Department Wellness program strives to improve the physical fitness, health and wellness of firefighters through enhanced education, research and training, leading to minimized injuries, enhanced job performance and an overall healthy lifestyle.
