The Wellshire East neighborhood is in Southeast Denver, Colorado, near the intersection of Monaco Parkway and Hampden Avenue. It was developed in the 1960's and is made up of 243 homes.
The Wellshire East Homeowners Association is a group of residents who strive to improve the livability of the neighborhood through community events and guiding the evolution of the neighborhood. The organization is made up of neighborhood volunteers and is supported by voluntary dues and contributions. Membership is limited to the neighborhood's boundaries, and is non-compulsory.
For over twenty years, the Homeowners Association has sponsored a neighborhood 4th of July parade and celebration event ending at Hutchinson Park. The annual meeting takes place at this time.
